Introduction

The first time I travelled to Paris I was three years old. My mother recollects the moments of my first trip to the city where I found my love for antiques with great fondness. She always tells the story of when we were in Marie Antoinette’s bedroom at Versailles; I was overwhelmed with the beauty and opulence and demanded to see more. I wanted to go into her closet to see her dresses and shoes and jewelry that were so finely depicted in her portraits.

I have always found an unparalleled beauty in antiques, a charm that only develops with age and history.  Throughout my life I have felt the need to keep feeding my fondness of antiquity, visiting museums and great European homes, but also finding many beautiful objects around me in my own home.

My goal to be achieved through this blog is to inform, to admire, and to teach myself more about the deep histories held by these antiques and to share my own personal appreciation of great architecture, furniture, and jewelry.

Stay tuned for many posts about the beauty and rich history of antiques.
